USAN list of the Azerbaijani-American and Turkic Diaspora organizations in North America

The following list of the Azerbaijani-American Diaspora organizations, as well as Turkic and Jewish-Azerbaijani organizations, who are partners or affiliated with USAN, was compiled by the U.S. Azeris Network (USAN). The U.S. Azeris Network (USAN), located at http://www.USAzeris.org, is a registered non-profit, non-partisan, non-sectarian genuine grassroots advocacy and voter education network that is facilitating political activism and efforts by the Azerbaijani-Americans and other Turkic-Americans and their associations, organizations, councils, conferences, and other formal, semi-formal and informal groups, on federal, state and local levels. USAN is the first nationwide grassroots organization uniting Azerbaijani-Americans, being created by the grassroots, for the grassroots.

Azerbaijan Society of America (ASA), a 501(c)3 tax-exempt charitable organization, established in 1957 in New Jersey, USA, is a non-profit organization dedicated to enhancing knowledge about Azerbaijan, the Azerbaijani people, their culture and history, as well as promoting ties in economic, cultural, and scientific spheres between the United States and Republic of Azerbaijan. ASA was cited as the only Azerbaijani organization in USA in 1980 by Harvard Encyclopedia, authored by Stephan Thernstrom, Ann Orlov, Oscar Handlin. ASA works with various organizations, associations and religious groups to enhance intercultural understanding and to promote peace and stability in the Caucasus region. Azerbaijani-American Council (AAC), a 501(c)3 tax-exempt charitable organization, is a non-profit organization established with a purpose of promoting education and scholarship about Azerbaijani identity, history and culture; advocating the interests of Azerbaijani-Americans and facilitating their active integration into U.S. public life. With main operations in California and Texas and, in collaboration with other Azerbaijani grassroots organizations in the US, AAC is dedicated to uniting all Azerbaijani-Americans as well as to strengthening ties between the United States and Azerbaijan. U.S.-Azerbaijan Council (USAC), based in Washington, D.C., is a 501(c)4, non-partisan, non-profit organization serving the development of U.S.-Azerbaijani relations. Mirvari International Foundation, a 501(c)3 tax-exempt charitable organization, assists vulnerable and marginalized children in Azerbaijan through charitable activities such as providing funds to support their everyday living and health-related expenses, and otherwise improving their well-being. The Turkish Coalition of America (TCA) is an educational, charitable organization incorporated in February 2007. Website: http://www.turkishcoalition.org

TC-USA PAC – a bipartisan organization supporting political candidates who endorse a strong US-Turkish relationship and encouraging Turkish Americans to participate in the US political process. Website: http://www.tc-usa-pac.org

ATAF – Azerbaijan Turkey America Foundation, a 501(c)3 charitable nonprofit organization, dedicated the strengthening the relations between the three states.

Assembly of Turkish American Associations (ATAA), based in Washington, D.C., is a 501(c)3 tax-exempt charitable organization. The objective of the Assembly is to coordinate the activities of member Turkish American associations and individual members of the Assembly for the purpose of presenting a more balanced view of Turkey and of the Turkish people, and emphasizing the importance of enhanced understanding between Turkey and the United States. Federation of Turkish American Associations (FTAA), New York-based federation (also known under the "TADF" acronym), uniting dozens of Turkish-American and Azerbaijani-American organizations in Tristate area since 1956. Website: http://www.FTAA.org

Houston Baku Sister City Association (HBSCA) is a nonprofit citizen diplomacy network that aspires to connect Houston and Baku through creating and strengthening partnerships in business, culture and education. Houston Azerbaijanis is a non-profit organization dedicated to the promotion of friendship between the United States and Azerbaijan through cultural, educational, social and charitable activities in the Houston metropolitan area. One of the primary goals of our organization is to support Houston Azerbaijanis Folk Dance Group and promote Azerbaijani arts in Houston and its vicinity. Website: http://www.HoustonAzerbaijanis.org
